Hello, you! I hope this post finds you in good humour and great health, aka the very opposite of my current state of body and mind. I swear I’m turning into a bitter old crank day by miserable day.
Anyway, a few nights ago I received a phone call that I still can’t quite believe actually happened, because when things like ME BLOGGING LIVE FROM THE KOLKATA LITERATURE FESTIVAL, ON BEHALF OF KOLKATA BLOGGERS, happens, it usually tends to be me getting lost in a long-winded daydream, rather than actual, solid reality.
But here I am, nervously awaiting the start of what is undoubtedly going to be one of the biggest and most nerve-wracking days of my life. The tent is abuzz with expectant conversation, I am standing holding my laptop up beside the only power socket I could find, my feet screaming in protest, but everywhere you can feel the excitement and anticipation of one of the biggest literary events in the country. C’est la vie will soon begin reporting live from each session of Kolkata Literature Festival 2015, logging in discussions and images, along with updates on Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest. It’ll be an epic literary odyssey and I can’t wait to begin.
(Also there will definitely be stories of awkward me-fangirling-over-author-moments that you can laugh at and feel better about yourself.)
T-minus 30 minutes. The countdown for #KLF2015 has begun.
